Materials:
- card stock (in Dad’s favorite color)
- white card stock
- exacto knife
- scissors
- double sided tape
- printer (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1: Print off a customized message on the cardstock to Dad in your favorite font, or hand-write a message onto the cardstock. Make sure the message is fairly brief; you should limit your self to five words or less.
Step 2: Cut out each word separately.
Step 3: Take your colored card stock and fold it in half. If your card stock is bigger than you would like, cut it down with a paper trimmer.
Step 4: On the fold, create several slits where you want your message to pop out. How many slits you create depends on how many words are in your message(it’s best to use a short message). Cut out two slits per word. My message is: best dad ever! I have three words, so I created two slits per word for a total of six slits. Be sure the slits are close enough together so that each word you cut out can sit between the slits.
Step 5: Push the sections between the slits out and fold them into pop up position.
Step 6: Grab your double sided tape and stick some on the back of each part of the message.
Step 7: Stick the words on! It’s so easy and the outcome is perfect.
