Is Your Bathroom in Need of a Remodel?

Some people tell me I’m crazy when I describe remodeling as the equivalent of getting to eat a decadent chocolate truffle. Now don’t misunderstand me, I hate all the dust and upheaval that goes along with remodeling projects, but the magical transformation after all the dust finally settles, makes it all worthwhile.

My master bathroom is a crazy, diabolical looking disaster and that’s no exaggeration….you can ask anyone who’s ever been to my home and seen it!  It’s the last room in my condo that’s in dire need of remodeling, but due to some budget constraints, I put this project on the back burner for about a year and a half.
Over the years I’ve built many homes and several other business construction projects too, so I guess you could say I’ve got the building and remodeling bug in my blood. As far as costs go, bathrooms are probably the second most expensive room in your home to remodel, with kitchen remodels usually coming in first place.  So that’s a big part of the reason why I’ve put this bathroom remodel project on hold and spent this last year and a half living vicariously, by pouring through beautiful bathroom images in designer magazines and on website like Houzz and Pinterest.
But I’m finally getting close to pulling the trigger on my own master bathroom remodel project, so when I recently came across some of the beautiful products by this Canadian company, I just had to share a few of them with you.

I’m a bathtub soaking type person, so I can’t wait to rip out the old 1970’s builder-grade, half-sunken bathtub that’s presently in my master bathroom, and replace it with something like one of these gorgeous, to-die-for, freestanding Ove Collection tubs. I can already imagine myself sinking up to my shoulders in soothing warm water, that’s just lightly scented with lavender bath salts. Ah, yeah…..the relaxing effect of a tub like this one will quickly fade the memory of all that remodeling dust and the unexpected surprises that are likely to crop up during the course of most any remodeling project.

And then there’s always the sink dilemma in a Master Bathroom. Is one sink enough, or should you have two? Or do you even have enough working counter space on top of your cabinetry to afford to install dual sinks? Personally, I’m a little bit bored with the conventional look of two oval sinks in a Master Bathroom and I love the look of this elongated and oversized, single basin Ove Collection as an updated alternative.

Finding unique solutions for maximizing storage within a limited space, is the key to obtaining a successfully executed remodel.  And that’s what I love about the products found within this Frame Collection.  The designs are not only sleek and minimalistic, but they’re also storage savvy too. I would love to have an organized vanity drawer storage system like this one.

This sleek mirrored medicine cabinet with its internally recessed hidden outlets is pretty genius stuff. And, if you do some careful planning with your contractor, you may even be able to design it’s installation so that it fits neatly between the wall studs and becomes almost entirely recessed, so it will look like it almost disappears into the wall.
