What Breast Cancer Taught Me About Motherhood

Debbie M. grew up in a big loving family in suburban Centerville, Ohio, the third of four children. She was a scholar athlete and excelled as a soccer and middle distance runner competing in state and national championships, and finished in the top one percent of female runners at the 1997 NYC Marathon. She received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University and was awarded Outstanding Senior. She moved to New York City upon graduation and worked as a consultant for Arthur Andersen and Headstrong. She would later spend a decade working for JPMorgan, most recently as an Executive Director in Investment Banking Technology (she left her job in February to spend more time with her family). In her free time, Debbie loves to be active and spend time with young kids; she coaches soccer and teaches Sunday School. She resides in suburban New Jersey with her husband and three beautiful children.
