Michelle Slatalla is the Editor in Chief of Gardenista, a sourcebook and guide for cultivated living. Gardenista features inspiration, garden visits, and tips and advice for all things related to outdoor living, from patios and peonies, to tables and terraces. Michelle is a former New York Times columnist living in Mill Valley, CA with her husband and three daughters. She's cultivated gorgeous gardens all over the country, from Northern California, to Chicago (lilac country), to Fort Greene, Brooklyn (tomatoes on the fire escape).
