Keri Russell sat down with Parade magazine to chat about balancing work and family.
Keri is back on TV with the new romantic comedy "Running Wilde", starring alongside funny man Will Arnett. Keri discussed the pressures of being torn between work and her son, River, 3, and acknowledged that her struggle is no different from every other mom out there: "Any time you're working and have kids, I think it's hard. My little guy's first week of preschool was last week and of course I want to be there for that. I never imagined that I wouldn't be walking him to school. Luckily, I didn't have to go into work that day until the afternoon, so I got to drop him off at least and then my husband picked him up. Of course it's hard. But it's hard for my lawyer friends and advertising friends, too."
One thing that makes it a little easier is having play dates with Will's boys (with wife Amy Poehler) on the set of their show. "He does come visit me on set, and the great thing about this show is that Will and Amy have two little guys, too. So we've gotten them together already to play."
