After an airplane scare, Leonardo DiCaprio made it to Russia to donate $1 million to help save tigers from extinction.
Leonardo was a passenger on Flight 30, which was headed to Moscow but was forced to make an emergency landing at JFK airport after an engine blew. His spokesman shared: “En route to attend the Tiger Summit in St. Petersburg, Leonardo DiCaprio was one of the passengers aboard Delta Flight 30. He wishes to commend the actions of the pilot and flight crew in bringing the plane to a safe landing.”
He was on his way to a summit with heads of government from 13 tiger range countries to discuss saving the tiger from extinction. Leonardo generously gave a $1 million donation to the World Wildlife Fund to help with tiger conservation efforts.
