Jillian Michaels says she always knew adoption was her calling.
The celebrity trainer shocked us all this week when she shared that she welcomed two new babies this month. The new mom says that adoption has always been part of her plan since she was in her mid-30s.
“Adoption is a calling. There is something in you that can’t be denied. You just know in the deepest part of your being that you are meant to find this little soul and guide them through life.”
Jillian recalls bringing home her daughter Lukensia earlier this month. “That moment of getting Lu out of Haiti and the wheels of the plane touching down in New York … she was an American citizen after two years. It was a heavy moment.”
The process of adoption her daughter was a long one: “There were moments where I was starting to think it was not going to work out.”
