Johansson, 29, and her fiancé Romain Dauriac have welcomed their first child in New York City, according to People.
The “Avengers” actress and French journalist named their daughter Rose Dorothy. People reports that the baby’s middle name is a tribute to Johansson’s grandmother, whom she called “the first Francophone in my family” while accepting her honorary César in Paris last February.
“Mother and daughter are doing well,” publicist Marcel Pariseau revealed via a statement to the Associated Press.
The actress never confirmed her pregnancy to the media, however, last December she told the Daily Mail that she had babies on the brain. “At some point it is something I look forward to,” she said. “I am fortunate in that I have had a long career—20 years—that has been very diverse. So, you know, picking a time to plan a family feels like something that I could do and not feel as though I was missing out.”
