How Khloe Kardashian’s Kids Helped Her Let Go of Perfectionism

Khloe Kardashian recently opened up about how her kids helped her in letting go of perfectionism in life in an interview with Bustle magazine. During the interview, the media personality revealed that she faced the issue of being that way “a lot more” before she welcomed her children, True and Tatum, into the world. Seeing them trying to mirror her activities made her feel that she needed to show her kids that things in life did not have to be perfect all the time.

In a new interview with Bustle magazine, Khloe Kardashian disclosed her struggles with perfectionism and how she dealt with it after welcoming her kids, Tatum and True. Referring to being a perfectionist, the media personality said, “I had that challenge a lot more before I had kids.” She continued, “It was really hard for me to see it as clearly as I do now.”

Khloe Kardashian then discussed incidents from her daily life where she saw her children trying to put their toys in a particular manner. It made her “feel bad” as she realized, “they’re mirroring” what she was doing. She further explained, “I’ve learned it’s OK for me to show a messy room.” Continuing, she said, “because I don’t want them to feel like everything has to be perfect.”

The star also talked about how she was “so much kinder to other people than” she was to herself before she had her children. She revealed, “With my kids, I had to learn, well, why do I give so much grace and empathy and understanding to everybody else?” She further expressed, “It’s OK for me to give myself that same patience and grace.”

During the interview, Khloe Kardashian also went candid about why it took her so much time to launch her debut fragrance, XO Khloé. “I needed the perfectionism there because it had to be something that I wanted to drench my body in and wear every day and stand behind it,” she explained.
