On December 16, the media personality expressed her views on the bill’s importance and how it would provide children with much better federal protection in institutional treatment facilities. Moreover, Hilton took to her Instagram to share how the presence of her son Phoenix made her speech at Capitol Hill more “meaningful.”

Paris Hilton recently shared a precious memory with her son Phoenix while giving a speech at Capitol Hill for the passing of the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act. On December 17, the businesswoman shared a post on Instagram, expressing how significant it was to have her baby boy with her at Capitol Hill. Besides Phoenix, Hilton’s husband, Carter Reum, was also present at the event.

She began the post’s caption by penning down the urgency and importance of the bill. Hilton wrote, “Yesterday at Capitol Hill, I gave a speech urging the House to pass the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act. A bill that would protect children from the same trauma I endured as a teen in a residential treatment facility.”

She then went on to talk about the presence of her son during the pivotal moment, writing, “I’ve visited the Capitol several times since beginning on my advocacy journey, but this trip is especially meaningful as I have my son Phoenix by my side.” The singer further talked about how her son and daughter inspired and motivated her in this “advocacy journey.”

She expressed, “[Phoenix] and my daughter London are a huge part of my motivation in fighting for children’s rights.” Hilton emphasized, “I want them to know that their mom is making sure that the world a safer place for every child.” She concluded the caption by informing her followers that the bill has already been passed by the Senate, but now “it’s time for the House to act.”
