These gift bags are so easy to make, and I love that they are completely customizable! You might even have all that you need right at home to make a few hand painted gift bags. They are perfect for any holiday or birthday.
Supplies:
- Paint in your choice of color
- Paper gift bags
- Sponge brushes
Instructions:
Step 1: For the first bag I wanted a fun polka dot pattern. Using a round sponge brush is perfect! Just dip it into your paint so it coats the end, place it on the bag, and keep it in place while twisting the brush. The twisting motion will make a smoother and more finished dot. If you just push down you might get bubbles.
Step 2: For the striped bag I wanted something that looked like it was done by hand. I just dipped the tip of my brush and lightly painted on the stripes, leaving some imperfections. For a more polished look, you could easily use some washi tape to section off your stripes and paint away!
Step 3: Wait for the bags to dry completely before adding any gifts or tissue paper to them. And you’re done!
