Actress and celebrity mom Jessica Alba was on hand this week for the second annual Baby2Baby gala (pictures coming tomorrow). The mother of two daughters, Honor, 5, and Haven, 2, shared that her girls have reached that point of playing – and fighting – together.
Jessica shared, “They steal stuff from each other! They’re constantly snatching things out of the other one’s hand, destroying something that the other one’s building.”
She’s now attempting to figure out what form of discipline works on her energetic little ladies. “So now it’s, ‘Stand in the corner and put your nose against the wall!’ My 2-year-old can last 15 seconds before she’s like, ‘Okay, I’m done!’, and then I’m like, ‘Wait, it’s not up to you!’ My 5-year-old can go for some time, like a minute or two.”
Jessica’s end goal is to send good, decent people out in to the world. “Every day I just want them to be happy and good and thoughtful. I just want them to be nice people.”
Are you a fan of the “stand in the corner” style of discipline? What works for your kids?
