Angelina Jolie and her family are spending a few months over in Australia while she directs her new movie “Unbroken”. The talented mom of six (who is also a producer on the film) is sharing some of the first behind the scenes photos of the movie making process.
Angelina shared photos from their most difficult location shoot: far out at sea in Moreton Bay, Australia. The conditions for this particular piece of the movie are a challenge. Working with cameras on a floating rig in choppy waters and braving the elements, with actors who dieted for months to appear as depleted as their characters.
Angelina’s film “Unbroken” is a drama that follows the life of Olympian and war hero Louis “Louie” Zamperini (Jack O’Connell) who, along with two other crewmen, survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII—only to be caught by the Japanese Navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp.
The movie is due out in theaters on Christmas Day, 2014.
