On December 19, Kristen Bell announced the birth of her second daughter, Delta Bell Shepard, with husband Dax Shepard on Twitter. She posted a quirky photo with her baby news — possibly a parody of the hand holding photos that celebs like Kourtney Kardashian have shared after the births of their babies:
Like with so many celebrity baby names, bloggers are having fun with the little girl’s unusual name. The Cut ran a post titled “Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard Named Their New Kid After an Airline.” (The couple’s first daughter, Lincoln, also made headlines for her name, with Gawker writing: “Kristen Bell Gave Birth to a Baby Girl, Named Her After a President or Possibly a Car.”)
Delta is also the fourth letter in the Greek alphabet. The name has a “Southern charm, lazy-day-down-by-the-river feel,” according to baby name site Nameberry.com.
