Nine months (10 months really!!) seems like an eternity at the beginning, but towards the end when you still have so much to do to prepare for baby’s arrival time just flies by.
Here are the top 5 things I’ve done to prepare…
1. EDUCATE
From breastfeeding to prepared childbirth and baby care classes, Clark and I have tried to arm ourselves with as much information as possible, let’s just see how much we remember on the big day!
2. CELEBRATE
This is the most important time of my life, so what better reason to celebrate? “EXTRA” and my dear friends showered me with love and gifts at a beautiful baby shower. I’m still unpacking as I type this…Lucky girl!
3. DECORATE
Babies need a lot of stuff and there are so many options out there it can be overwhelming! From cribs to changing tables to paint colours — and let’s not forget the snot suckers (that’s Daddy’s job!). There are so many decisions to make when planning the perfect nursery (I’m still looking for a cool glider so any suggestions please do let me know).
4. HIBERNATE
Right now there’s nothing I love more than me and my bump getting cozy on my bed in my PJs catching up on all my favourite TV shows and movies (and indulging in some yummy chocolate!). Being pregnant is the perfect excuse to do this — who knows when I will have time to lounge around again?
5. WAIT
Now it’s a waiting game. My bag is packed and my Mum is on her way. Of course I’m nervous, but Clark and I can’t wait!
