How to Get the Most Out of the Library (and Other Literacy-Friendly Places)

Some families go to sporting events together, some travel to the beach or the bush each weekend and some like to watch movies together. Whilst we do all those things on occasion as a family, mostly we are all about finding any literary events around the place!

Megan Daley is loudly passionate about children’s literature and sharing it with young and old alike. She blogs about all things literary, library and tech at Children's Books Daily. On the home front Megan has two ‘spirited’, book loving girls, one patient husband, one Staffordshire terrier on Prozac and six chickens. Megan is a Teacher Librarian at St Aidan's Anglican Girls School in Queensland, a former National Vice President of the Children's Book Council of Australia, a judge on the Queensland Literary Awards and is the current QLD Teacher Librarian of the Year. She has a Bachelor of Early Childhood, a Graduate Diploma in Teacher Librarianship and a Masters of Innovative Teaching and Learning. She is on the QLD chapter of the board of the Australian Children’s Laureate and the Publications Committee of the National Library of Australia. She also thinks sleep is overrated.
