Betty White is, without any doubt, a national treasure. On January 17th, 2022, this pillar of womankind would have been 100 years old. Regardless of that age, however, White still had all the moves. She was hilarious, genuine, and a “cockeyed optimist,” she told Fox News this week. “I got it from my mom. I’m gonna stick with it.”
Holding onto advice from mom for 100 years is heartwarming, to say the least. We should all be so lucky to live such a long and beloved life.
Betty White Is a Rock Star… Forever

Once upon a time, the Betty White that we all know and love was just a child. Born to homemaker Christine Tess, and executive Horace Logan White, in Oak Park, Illinois. At that time, there was no way to know what kind of career she would have or the impact of it.
White’s career spans a whopping 75 years across radio, film, and television. According to Fox News, she’s been dubbed the “First Lady of Television” and “America’s Sweetheart.”

Over the years, White brought home eight Emmy Awards for roles across Hot in Cleveland, The Golden Girls, and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. In 1995, she was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame and was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Probably, at the time, the powers who decide such things thought their time to bestow these honors was potentially limited. And yet, here she still was 26 years later… still being a rock star.

Not to mention a dedicated advocate for cruelty against animals, and the author of several books (which we should all add to our bookshop.org lists, immediately). With wise gems such as the below, how could we not?
“If you live without passion, you can go through life without any footprints.”
For 2022, let’s all celebrate Betty White, and learn from her incredible life, all year.
