Glee Star Jenna Ushkowitz Announces She’s Having a Baby Via Instagram

Jenna Ushkowitz, former star of Glee, is going to be a mom! The 35-year-old actor posted the pregnancy announcement to her Instagram last Wednesday. In a gorgeous moment-in-time photo, Ushkowitz and her husband, David Stanley, posed together, both touching her stomach.

Jenna Ushkowitz and David Stanley’s Romance

In June of 2018, Ushkowitz and Stanley met on a Hinge date, according to Pop Sugar. For those that aren’t entirely hip to the youthful dating scene, Hinge is one of those new-fangled dating apps.

After two years of dating, the couple engaged, and then married in an outdoor ceremony last July, in Los Angeles. At the time, Ushkowitz told Brides magazine, “We were elated and so grateful that we didn’t have to push our wedding and that we got to have the day of our dreams.”

Gathering with friends and family during such a tumultuous time “was such a gift,” she says. Around 104 of their closest loved ones attended. “We always dreamed of a wedding on the smaller side, but with COVID, we definitely had to scale back more than we anticipated.”

Even a gathering of that size in these days of COVID, especially last year, is exceptionally rare. While Ushkowtiz and Stanley did have to cull down their guest list, we imagine most understood the limitations and why. “Having our closest family and loved ones there (safely) was a priority for us,” she explains. The couple set “expectations from the get-go” that it would have to be a smaller gathering so that it could remain flexible.

Definitely, the larger the wedding, with guests traveling, the more that gets thrown into disarray should someone crop up positive.

We’re happy that the couple was able to tie their knot and queue up a tot amidst the Covid madness.
