Best for: Ages 7 and up

Violence

This is a superhero movie so there is a good amount of fighting but it’s all very fantastical and comic book style action.

A small child is bitten by a dog and red bite marks are shown.

The theme of animal abuse and neglect are touched on which could upset some sensitive children.

Profanity

There are several times 4 letter words are bleeped out. They add to the adult humor but most kids can probably figure out what is being said based on context.

A few mild phrases like heck, crap, and idiot are used.

Mild potty humor and jokes about dogs peeing and pooping

Mature Content

Mild sexual innuendo

Lois Lane and Clark Kent kiss

A reference to Lois spending the night with Clark Kent.

Intensity

Super-Pets is relatively tame aside from the comic book style fight scenes which feature fantastical weapons and explosions.

Overall

Super-Pets is a really fun and entertaining movie that families can watch together. The story is simple yet heartwarming and there are plenty of jokes and references to keep parents laughing. Superheroes and animals combined create the ultimate superpower.
