As an author, people often ask me, “What books do you recommend?” It should be an easy question – there are so many! Ah, but there’s the rub – there are so many.

In between teaching drama, creative writing, and English to high school students for over ten years, Kim Culbertson has written short fiction for Cicada and her first young adult novel Songs for a Teenage Nomad (Sourcebooks). Sourcebooks will publish her second young adult novel Instructions for a Broken Heart in May of 2011. She lives in the Northern California foothills with her husband and daughter, where she loves to drink coffee and look at the clouds.
