It’s Friday the 13th, but I have a feeling these new movies will have a very lucky opening night.
In Theaters today 5/13/11:
1. Bridesmaids (R)
Starring Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Ellie Kemper
“Picked as her best friend’s maid of honor, the heartbroken and bankrupt Annie looks to bluff her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals with an oddball group of bridesmaids. “
*You can read Momtastic’s review of the film here. I was also fortunate enough to see it earlier this week and I highly recommend it – it was HILARIOUS. Just because of Melissa McCarthy’s performance, I am going to start watching “Mike & Molly” – she’s a comedic gem.
2. Priest (PG-13)
Starring Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, and Maggie Q
“A priest disobeys church law to track down the vampires who kidnapped his niece. “

1. No Strings Attached (R)
Starring Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman
“A guy and girl try to prove they can keep their relationship purely physical, but find that it’s much harder than they thought. “
2. Blue Valentine (R)
Starring Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams
“A young married couple’s rocky road is played out, showing a cross section of events in their rough life together, both coming from dysfunctional homes. “
3. Justin Bieber: Never Say Never (G)
Starring Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and Usher
A documentary film showing Justin’s rise to fame, including home videos and interviews with family members, ultimately leading up to clips from his 2010 tour.
