Don’t get me wrong, I still wear makeup but my 25 minute routine of curling eyelashes and taking the time to mix three different foundations and face creams together to make the perfect blend, no longer fits my lifestyle.
If you’re wondering, “What is BB cream anyways?” you’re not alone. BB cream, which is short for beauty balm, was recently introduced to the western world after being hailed as a miracle product in Asia. Much like a tinted moisturizer, BB cream offers foundation coverage, sunscreen, moisturizing and, all in one tube.
Sounds too good to be true? That’s what I thought until I decided to give this little miracle product a test run with Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream Skin Perfector. Luckily, it’s available at most major drugstores for about $10.
A miracle product on a budget? Happy dance! Once I got the BB cream, I waited until morning and skipped my usual moisturizer and serum routine, opting to really put the product to the test. Starting with a dime-size portion of the BB Cream, I blended it over my entire face. I instantly noticed that my skin was even and smooth without feeling or looking parched. I didn’t even require an extra brush for blending along the chin and neckline. I was happy with the overall look, but the real test came next: I had to see if the results would last throughout the day.
I wore it to run errands, to workout at barre class, and to pick up the kids; in the evening, I looked at myself in the mirror. Yup, it was still there and looked just as it did that morning. High-five for the Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream Skin Perfector! It survived my hectic day, my three kids (who stress out my skin and face), and my sweaty workout.
Now that my five minute beauty routine has turned into three minutes, I couldn’t be happier about trimming off those extra minutes so I can gulp down a cup of coffee before it gets cold, and I look good doing it, too!
