If the best I can do is get sexy curls like a Victoria’s Secret model but not the abs, I’ll still take it! It takes a lot less work to achieve the hairstyle, anyway. If you’re prepping for an event or big night out and looking to achieve some major runway-worthy curls, then this step-by-step tutorial for getting bouncy, long lasting Victoria’s Secret hair is a must-try. I especially love its staying power—spray on extra dry shampoo and hairspray if it’s particularly humid out.
Supplies:
- (If you have curly hair) – a relaxing agent or straightening lotion like Bb Straight
- Heat-resistant spray like Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray
- Medium hold hairspray
- A large barreled curing iron
- Dry shampoo like Dove Invigorating Dry Shampoo
- Hair sectioning clips
Instructions:
Step 1: Start with blown dry hair. If you have curly hair, opt for a relaxing agent or straightening lotion to help in your blowout to get hair nice and smooth.
Step 2: Spray hair with heat resistant spray to keep hair from being heat damaged. Next, spray a medium hold hairspray all over hair. Make sure to get spray not only on top but also into those layers.
Step 3: Start curling hair from the front, using a large barreled curing iron. I like to back comb each section and add a little dry shampoo to each section to add grit.
Step 4: Clip each curl up like a hot roller to let cool. Curl two inch sections down the middle of head and up the sides of hair toward crown at an angle.
Step 5: Let hair cool for a bit. I like to do makeup in between to give adequate cooling time. The longer you wait the bouncier and longer lasting the curls will be.
Step 6: Take out all sections after a couple minutes or when makeup is done.
Step 7: Flip head over and shake head to loosen up curls. Give a light spray all over while head is flipped upside down.
Step 8: Flip back and finger through curls as you like them. Lightly spray curls to keep shape while keeping the feel touchable.
Voila!! Bouncy, sexy curls that will make your honey weak in the knees.
