Easy & Inexpensive DIY Pore Strips

My family lives a very natural lifestyle. We grow a bevy of fruits and veggies in our backyard garden. We clean our house mostly with vinegar, and most of my skin care regiment consists of items that I find in my kitchen.

I recently noticed a couple of blackheads on my nose—gasp! So instead of buying expensive pore strips at the store to remove them, I wanted to make my own DIY pore strips. Not only is this trick a whole lot cheaper, it’s also very natural.

Supplies:

  • egg whites: 3
  • lemon juice: 1 tsp
  • tissue: 1 per strip
  • whisk

Instructions:

Step 1: Separate your egg whites into a bowl and whisk them.

Step 2: Squeeze 1 teaspoon of lemon juice into the egg whites and whisk.

Step 3: Smear some of your mixture onto your nose.

Step 4: Peel a tissue so it’s only one thin layer. Press it onto your nose.

Step 5: Spread more egg/lemon mixture on top of the tissue to saturate it.

Step 6: Wait 15 to 20 minutes or until it hardens. Try not to talk or move your face while you wait.

Step 7: Peel off the tissue and look to see what comes out. Ewww (yet awesome!).
