The 2011 Oscars: Academy Awards Red Carpet Fashions

Celebrities hit the red carpet in their best couture last night.  Check out our gallery featuring Gwyneth Paltrow, Helena Bonham Carter, Camila Alves, Natalie Portman, Hilary Swank, Jennifer Hudson, Cate Blanchett, and Amy Adams!

Did you watch the red carpet arrivals last night?  Do you think there were any fashion disasters???  Who do you think rocked the red carpet?

Amy Adams navy blue gown oscars

Amy Adams was glowing in this gorgeous navy blue L’Wren Scott gown.

Cate Blanchett Givenchy oscar gown

Cate Blanchett went for a bold work of art in this Givenchy gown.

Gwyneth Paltrow gold Calvin Klein gown

Gwyneth Paltrow opted for this Calvin Klein gown, which was actually a gorgeous gold, but the photo makes it looks almost silvery.  Did you catch Gwyneth’s peformance? What’d you think?

Helena Bonham Carter chose a gorgeous black Colleen Atwood gown. Colleen won an Oscar last night for Best Costume Design for “Alice in Wonderland”.  I’m hoping Helena goes back to her “outside the box” fashion now that awards season is over – I miss her funky style.

Hilary Swank Gucci gown, white gown,

Hilary Swank was decked out in feathers and sparkles in this Gucci Premiere couture gown.

Jennifer Hudson, oscar gown, red gown, red dress

Jennifer Hudson wore a red/orange Versace gown.  Jennifer dress showed up as a different shade on every channel and in every photograph.  So, we don’t know if it was truly red or orange.  Even the red carpet itself was more of a pink shade, which threw things off even more!

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves, tuxedo, black dress, black Kaufman Franco dress

Camila Alves picked out a beautiful black Kaufman Franco dress, along with a lovely arm-candy accessory, Matthew McConaughey.

Natalie Portman, Rodarte gown, plum gown, wine gown,

Even though she’s the face of Dior, Natalie Portman decided to go with this wine/plum colored gown from Rodarte, who also designed the tutus for her film “Black Swan”.
