For 2012 is a bright, melon-based orange called Tangerine Tango.
Ole!
While vibrant and snappy, orange is not always the easiest color to wear, but don’t stress out – there are all sorts of ways to incorporate Tangerine Tango into your wardrobe for 2012.
For the olive-toned and darker skinned ladies, orange is your BFF. And don’t skip the vibrant hues, friends. Grab a dress and have no fear whatsoever about wearing it near your lovely face.
If, like me, your skin tone is more “Twilight” than “Tahiti” find a great print top that has a hint of tangerine and pair it with a skirt or pants in a flattering, solid color.
We all know the greatest way to incorporate a trend color that may not stay in your collection long-term is through accessories. A bag – or scarf tied to a bag! – necklace or pair of shoes with tangerine adds that tropical touch without acting you’re a walking billboard for the trend.
Pair this color effortlessly with blues (the direct, complimentary color) – especially navy – as well as greys and whites. For a bolder cocktail of color match it with fuschias, a royal blue and even turquoise. This spring is about print and loudness — so jump with both feet into the color pool.
What do you say? Will you tango with tangerine this year?
