The first Valentine’s Day we were living together he gave me a new stove, on Feburary 8th. His friends were aghast that a. he gave me a stove and b. it wasn’t even really for Valentine’s Day…it suited me just fine. So this weeks Mommy Must Have list is in the spirit of celebrating not celebrating Valentine’s Day. Oh, and as a side note, I have red hair and am self conscious about wearing red so, this is what I would wear if we were going out for a Valentines dinner….the week before.
1. Citizens of Humanity Elson Medium Rise Straight Leg Jean
I love the fact that jeans are completely socially acceptable as dinner attire. I always feel my best in a great pair of jeans.
i think this blouse adds a hint of sex appeal in a subtle way. Tied at the waist, I would leave the top button undone to let the shirt fall open.
My concession to the day, a red clutch…but notice the awesome clasp and studes. A little downtown even though it’s red.
4. Fluevog Paris Beige Devilfish
John Fluevog makes affordable and stylish shoes that are actually comfortable. I love the heel and the little bit of mirror ball sparkle on these.
5. Bezel Set Blue Quartz Necklace
The delicate chain will hang just perfectly with the neckline of the blouse and the deep blue will catch the light in the restaurant.
6. Cartier Love Bracelet (that is hopefully my Valentine’s Day gift this year)
So I know I started this whole list out stating that we don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day and especially not with jewelry, but honestly I have lusted after this bracelet for years and I think this is the year it will appear locked on my wrist.
