There are so many reasons to love the thawing of winter—heading to the playground, heading to the zoo, heading to the pool, basically heading anywhere that gets your stir-crazy kids out of your cooped-up house. But, the best part is the shoes! Spring shoes are so easy—throw on a pair with some jeans and a cute top, and you have yourself an outfit, am I right?

Now I could have gone crazy with heels, because the internet has exploded with some ridiculously amazing heels lately, but let's be realistic. Those suckers would sit in your closet and you'd feel guilty about them every time you opened it until finally you'd hide them in the back under a pile of sweaters so you can't see them anymore and completely forget they ever existed. Not that I know anything about that.

Instead, I rounded up ten pairs of flats and sandals that will take you from the coffee shop to the playground and maybe back to the coffee shop, depending on how rough a day you're having.

The best part about spring is the fancy sandals. They're not any harder to wear than unfancy ones, but ohmahgoodness, they can take your outfit from meh to shazam! These Mint Python numbers will work for days when you want a bit more edge, while the flower ones will prettify any skirt or dress you want to toss on.

About eight years ago, I bought a pair of yellow flats in Australia for $25 and, you guys, I still wear them. The mustard color goes with everything and, outside of the fact that the sole is almost gone, they're totally perfect. Okay, the leather's peeling off, and fne, it may be time to buy a new pair; this version from Ruche is pretty darn close. Throw in a pair of any of these from Joyfolie and I don't think I need to buy anything else this season... (Yeah, right).

This round-up is not going particularly well mainly because I now have shopping carts all over the internet, filled with spring shoes, because how can I leave little numbers like these adorable coral flats just sitting there when they could be on my feet?!?!

Have you ever noticed that polka dots weirdly go with everything? Stripes, solids, flowers---I will wear polka dots with just about anything these days. And I pretty much consider navy the new black, which means these suckers would be in constant rotation in my closet.

Buy Them: Yes Style for $52.90 (close enough to under $50, right?)

How easy are these shoes? They're comfy enough you can wear them every day, but interesting enough that they make a white shirt and jeans a bit more special. Plus, a part of the proceeds of each sale goes toward a charity that works with marginalized children. Shopping you can feel good about!

I'm going to be totally honest---I've been on the fence with the whole Swedish Hasbeen craze. I like my shoes to have a bit more pretty or a bit more edge, and they've always made me nervous they'd make me look like a---gasp!---MOM. But they're supposed to be very comfortable, I love that they give you a bit of a heel, and they don't look mom-ish at all here, do they? I think I'm coming around...
