Nothing makes me happier than our annual summer family getaway. We’re big beach people (born by the beach, live by the beach, relax at the beach), so the idea of renting an amazing—and affordable!—Punta Mita home by the sea was a dream come true. This was also Baby T’s first summer family vacation—a major milestone in itself.
Packing was the ultimate travel and style challenge. With all the other necessary baby stuff to lug in our suitcase (Holy diapers! Our own personal Walgreens pharmacy!), my mom street style for our Punta Mita adventure had to be fun & uber comfy, keep me cool, and mix and match with everything.
Favorite denim cutoffs, a handful of gauzy white cotton tunics, comfy strapless knit maxi dresses, neutral leather sandals, neon accented accessories, panama hat, and oversized sunnies were my mom street style go-to all vacation long. Vibrant accessories, swimsuits, and lace bralettes added the pop to my summer mom style without adding extra weight to our luggage. The rest of the pieces were comfy enough for me to chase and tumble with our scrambling toddler around the beach, house, pool, and everywhere in between.
For our last gasp of summer, here’s a similar mom street style look I’ve been rocking around the streets of San Francisco. I love that I can wear the lace tunic now and later this fall, layered under fuzzy cardigans and oversized utility jackets. And in my mom-street-style book, fierce red nail polish, oversized black sunnies, and neon are fabulous every time of year.
