A greater Chicago area hospital, Advocate Children’s Hospital is making headlines for the sweetest reason. Their NICU is hosting its annual NICU Halloween Costume Contest for their tiniest patients. Folks visiting the hospital’s Facebook page can vote on the cutest little participant and the winner and two runners-up with the most likes will be taking home a fabulous prize that includes blankets, onesies, and more.
That first Halloween can feel like a milestone for many parents so the staff at ACH wanted to do something to help parents have fun given the seriousness of being in a neonatal intensive care unit. Parents, nurses, and doctors have been dressing up the premie babies in adorable costumes that are making the Internet swoon with delight. From Wonder Woman to two peas in a pod, there are so many beautiful and funny interpretations of Halloween happening.
The hospital’s public affairs manager for Advocate Aurora Health told Good Morning America that “Advocate Children’s Hospital just wanted to do something special, so their parents could still commemorate their little one’s first Halloween and create some special memories.”
With more than 30 participants, it is very hard to choose just three but here are a few that we love:
Ariana and Oliver are two peas in a pod
This little adorable Milk Monster
The most beautiful Snow White ever
And this cute little doctor
