E! host Giuliana Rancic announced that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Giuliana and her husband have been documenting their quest to have a baby on their reality show and that quest may have saved her life. During another round IVF treatments, Giuliana’s doctor suggested she get a mammogram even though she’s not yet 40. The mammogram revealed a tumor, but in it’s early stages. She shared:
“I still want this baby … because this baby has saved my life. I truly feel God was looking out after me … If I had gotten pregnant later down the line, I could have been a lot sicker.”
Giuliana will undergo surgery sometime this week, followed by a six week round of radiation.
