Weekend Movie Release Roundup: In Theaters & On DVD 3/16

If you head to the movies this weekend, you may catch a glimpse of Johnny Depp. Okay, not IN your theater, but up on the screen.

You might want to take the kiddies to see ‘The Lorax’ again this week…everything new is rated R!

New In Theatres 3/16/12

1. 21 Jump Street (R)

Starring Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, and Rob Riggle

A ‘sort-of’ reboot of the original TV show that starred Johnny Depp and Holly Robinson-Peete (who both make an appearance in the movie). A pair of underachieving cops are sent back to a local high school to blend in and bring down a synthetic drug ring.

2. Casa de mi Padre (R)

Starring Will Ferrell, Gael Garcia Bernal, and Diego Luna

Scheming on a way to save their father’s ranch, the Alvarez brothers find themselves in a war with Mexico’s most feared drug lord.

3. Jeff, Who Lives at Home (R)

Starring Jason Segel, Ed Helms, and Judy Greer

On his way to the store to buy wood glue, Jeff looks for signs from the universe to determine his path. However, a series of comedic and unexpected events leads him to cross paths with his family in the strangest of locations and circumstances. Jeff just may find the meaning of his life… and if he’s lucky, pick up the wood glue as well.
