Jennie Garth opens up about her efforts to save her marriage to Peter Facinelli.
The celebrity couple shocked everyone by announcing that they were splitting up after eleven years together and now Jennie shares with People that she worked hard to avoid divorce. She tells the magazine: “I was very resistant. I didn’t want it to happen. It took me some time to come to peace with it.”
The mom of three says that Peter’s exploding career put a huge strain on their family life. Peter was working hard on the ‘Twilight’ sets and also on his hit Showtime series “Nurse Jackie”, both of which took him away from their L.A. home for long periods of time. “He would do everything he could to fly back every weekend. [But] it took a real toll on our marriage.”
Last year, Jennie was very open about missing him and looking forward to Twilight ending so they could return to some sort of “normal”.
