Jon Bon Jovi speaks out on the tragedy of his daughter’s heroin overdose and arrest this week.
Stephanie Rose Bongiovi, Jon and wife Dorthea’s only daughter, overdosed on heroin at Hamilton College on November 14th and was rushed to the emergency room. Stephanie was lucky enough to fully recover and even got the charges of drug possession dropped.
During an interview with Fox L.A., Jon didn’t elaborate too much on the private family situation, but he did share, “This tragedy was something that I had to face, too, so we’ll get through it. And people’s warm wishes for my family and I have been really reassuring. So, we’re good” The father of four added, “It’s human. What I do for a living, it seems glitzy and glamorous but if you don’t take it too seriously it’s a great way to make a living. And then life goes on. Things happen.”
