These dishes look very grown up but don’t be fooled: Every time I make one of these five meals, my kids want seconds and sometimes thirds! When I cook up one of these dishes I’m reminded of my culture, my familia, and that pride is something that I want to pass down to my kids. For Hispanic Heritage Month (and every single month of the year!), I want them to always embrace all the wonderful things about our culture, including our delicious comida. But, introducing these dishes wasn’t easy. My trick was to get my kids involved in cooking, so they’d be more likely to want to try new foods. With just one taste, they were hooked! These kid-approved meals are life-savers in mi casa and I hope they will be in your home, too.
