I love to host a good party. When I found out my cousin was expecting twins, I immediately offered up my services and was so excited, because she was open to making it not only a big baby shower for twins, but also a gender reveal party. This is a party lover’s dream come true. Today I’ll share a few details of our Twin-kle Twin-kle Little Star twins gender reveal baby shower.
A combo of store-bought items and homemade items makes throwing any party just a bit easier. I made the backdrop but bought all of the desserts.
This DIY backdrop was easy to put together using honeycomb balls from Target.
Star cupcake toppers took minutes and were a great project for me to do with my preschooler. I bought the silver star toppers and the cupcake liners from Amazon, and my mom brought delicious star cookies from my hometown bakery.
We created a simple s’mores party favor bar as an easy way to send off seventy-plus guests.
I used garland from The Flair Exchange to decorate the party favor area and to connect it with our gender reveal star piñatas.
Guests took home a box filled with goodies to make s’mores at home. Party favors are my jam. And I made sure to include a cheesy party favor tag as well. “Twins are just s’more to love.”
The gender reveal piñatas were one of my favorite elements, but I forgot to get a great photo of them. This was one of the things I was most excited for. I bought piñatas on Amazon and DIYed them using a tutorial from Confetti Pop.
The party was for men and women and included nearly seventy guests.
When the time came to pull the piñata string, most guests in attendance were shocked to find out that my cousin and her fiancé were expecting…
The sweet baby girls are already two months old. We’re so grateful to have them in our family!
