Now that it is summer, I have been on the lookout for anything and everything to keep my son busy and hopefully learning too. After we have done crafts, practiced letter and number recognition, and had a play date, I am usually on the verge of sitting him down in front of the TV for some much needed "me" time. But! I have discovered a few awesome learning apps that have saved me. They are educational, help him with his drawing skills, and are really fun for him, so it feels like a treat to be able to play them! He has no idea he's learning and I am A-OK with that! Here are a few of our current favorites.

Endless Alphabet
This one has provided hours of fun. I adore the illustrations, and the little cartoons that play after you finish spelling out a word are so cute. It is a bit more expensive than most apps, but it is totally worth it in my opinion. So fun!

Tinybop: The Human Body
If your kid is into the human body at all, they will love this app! There are different levels that take you through each system of the body and teach you the names and functions of each. There is also some fun stuff thrown in there like feeding the body and all of the wonderful bodily functions that come along with it.

Drawnimal
This app is a great one for little ones just learning to draw recognizable shapes...like animals! It presents a letter to you along with an animal which you can draw onto a piece of paper around the phone or tablet to finish the illustration. It's so much fun, and the illustrations are simple and so cute.

PB Shapes
That's right! This one is free! It's pretty simple and short, but it's a great game for recognizing shapes and finding them hidden in the pictures. My son is really into shapes, so this one was perfect for him!
