The Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office charged and jailed a Kentucky woman, 32-year-old Tiffani Lucas, for allegedly shooting and killing her two young children inside her Shepardsville home on Wednesday morning (via Fox News).
Around 11:00 a.m., deputies responded to the home after reports of a shooting. When police arrived, they found a six-year-old and a nine-year-old with gunshot wounds. Deputies transported the critically injured children to a local hospital. Tragically, the victims succumbed to their injuries.
“The investigation is still in early stages, and we may release more details when they become available,” stated Sheriff Walt Sholar in a press release. “At this time, it appears we have accounted for all involved parties, and there is no threat to the community.”
