“Love Is Blind” couple Zack Goytowski and Bliss Poureetezadi-Goytowski are over the moon as they are expecting their first child together. The couple kept the news a secret till they were ready to share it with the world. They finally shared the excitement with their fans through an exclusive interview with People magazine.
Although some participants from the “Love Is Blind” universe have had kids, Bliss and Zackary are the first pair to publicly announce they are expecting a child together. In the exclusive interview, Bliss noted, “It’s a little bit nerve-wracking, but I think it’s also such a beautiful thing.”
It’s been a few months since Bliss learned of her pregnancy, breaking the news to Zack on a special day as she revealed it to him on her mom’s birthday. In the interview, Bliss exclaimed that despite the morning sickness and fatigue, she is “grateful” that her body can carry a baby. She also noted that Zack has been showering her with love and helping her with her pregnancy symptoms, stating that it’s been wonderful to take this journey with him.
How Did Bliss and Zack Meet?
Bliss and Zack met in the pods on season 4 of the reality dating show “Love Is Blind.” Although they were initially attracted to each other, things turned ugly. Zack dumped Bliss and chose contestant Irina Solomonova instead. He even proposed to Irina and traveled to Mexico with her. This led to Bliss leaving the experiment heartbroken.
However, Zack and Irina quickly realized that they weren’t a match. They pulled the plug on their engagement within a week of being together.
Zack told Us Weekly in March 2023, “I would say I made a mistake with not picking Bliss [in the first place]. I knew that when I ended it [with Irina] and was kind of dealing with that. I don’t know how much you could see of the turmoil that I was going through, but when I did end it, then my very first thing was I wanted to go and tell [producers] to bring [Bliss] back, and that I had made the wrong choice, but I knew I had to live with the decision.”
Soon after, things took a positive turn. Zack returned home from the cast’s Mexico trip, reunited with Bliss, and proposed to her. Bliss immediately said yes at the altar of the show, and the couple got hitched in May 2022.
The pair is now gearing up to welcome their first child together. Bliss broke her pregnancy news with a store-bought cake with the words “I Love You Dad” on it for Zack. He was initially confused but after deciphering the message, he was over the moon. Zack told People magazine, “I was incredibly happy. We both really wanted this and so we just felt really blessed that we were able to have this happen.”
Bliss and Zack are expecting to welcome their bundle of joy in spring 2024 (via Entertainment Weekly).
