After announcing the pregnancy in August with husband Eric Decker, country singer Jessie James Decker has now revealed the baby’s gender in a bit of a quirky way. The pregnant singer revealed the sex of her fourth baby on Wednesday, November 22, after dropping a major hint over the weekend. And you guessed it right, it is a boy!
On Saturday, November 18, Jessie James Decker sent the fans into a frenzy after posting an Instagram photo of herself with her sister, Sydney Rae Bass, and her sister-in-law, Ali James. Sydney and Ali held Jessie’s baby boys in their arms in matching outfits while the former reality star posed with the same overalls over her growing belly, hinting that their fourth child would be a boy.
However, all the speculation was put to rest when Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager asked Jessie on the Today show about her Instagram post and whether it was meant to announce a future son. Following this, Jessie confirmed, “Yup, we’re having another boy. Vivi remains queen” (via Page Six).
Jessie is already mom to 9-year-old daughter Vivianne, 8-year-old son Eric Jr., and 5-year-old son Forrest. And a third son will be joining the family soon!
Has Jessie James Decker Decided the Name of Fourth Child?
After announcing her pregnancy with her former NFL player husband, Jessie James Decker revealed to People in October that the couple are aware of the baby’s gender and have even decided on a name already.
However, they are not yet ready to share the details. Instead, they’re planning a nursery for their bundle of joy. In the interview, she said, “We chose the name as soon as we knew the gender,” exclaiming that they are always “kind of prepared.” As for the progress of the nursery, Jessie James Decker stated, “We haven’t gotten started yet, but we know what we’re going to do. We know the plan, so things are rolling in motion.”
The news of Jessie’s fourth pregnancy was a pleasant surprise to her family and friends. Her husband Eric couldn’t believe the news at first and thought she was playing a joke on him. He thought Jessie had asked her sister to take the pregnancy test on her behalf, as Sydney was pregnant at the time.
The couple has been growing their family since 2014, a year after getting hitched in the presence of family and friends.
