Parents have some of the most joyful memories of their children from when they were little, and a viral Instagram video of a dad showing his son what walking feels like is a testament to that. The heartwarming and hilarious moment between the dad and son has caught the internet’s attention.
Dad gives son a taste of what it is like to walk in funny video
John Pearce, an Australian singer, dancer, and children’s entertainer, took to Instagram on October 19 to share a silly video of a walking lesson with his adorable toddler. Long before the kid learns to walk on his own, his dad came up with a creative and undeniably funny way to show him what walking feels like.
In the clip, instead of simply holding his son’s hands and guiding him across the room, the dad tucked the toddler inside the waistband of his sweatpants. With the child nestled securely against his chest and his little legs positioned neatly inside the pant legs, the dad took confident strides and even made other movements.
The little boy was initially busy sucking on his fingers. However, the moment the dad started moving, his son started giggling. In some other parts, the kid appeared absolutely fascinated by the experience as he coasted along with his father.
Pearce, best known as a member of the children’s band The Wiggles, captioned the post, “so many activities,” followed by two emojis. Meanwhile, the caption on the video itself reads, “Showing my son what it’s like to walk.” Migos’ song “Walk It Talk It,” featuring Drake, served as the background music for the video.
The viewers found the video hilarious, with some commenting on what the toddler’s first steps might look like. One individual wrote, “His first steps will be a skedaddle,” while another person commented, “Too cute lol his first steps are gonna be just like that lol.” As of this writing, the reel has racked up over 189,600 likes.
