This is really fun for kids of all ages. you can fill the balloons with easy to difficult things depending on the age of your child. Keep reading to get more details on making this 5 senses balloon game with your child
Supplies:
- Balloons
- Funnel
- Different materials from the kitchen such as: beans, rice, flour, water, sugar, playdough etc
Open up the balloon and stick it over the end of the funnel. FYI, this funnel I used was really big but if you have a smaller one it will work better and be easier to put on
Add one of the kitchen items to the funnel and help guide it into the balloon
Fill it about halfway up and then tie a knot at the end
Do the same with the other balloons filling them with different textured materials from the kitchen or craft room. I made 6 but you can use however many you want. I used: water, flour, sugar, beans, beads, and rice.
Lay them out and have find a cute child to play with them and guess what’s inside
Encourage them to squeeze it, listen while they shake it, try to look at the shape of the pieces and smell it. Help them out with hints of course if it’s difficult.
Label them as your child guesses. It’s a great way for them to use their senses and fun to play with!
