Carrie Southworth is a mom of two daughters and co-founder of Twigtale, a company that produces expert-scripted books to help children with life-changing issues such as moving and becoming big siblings. She grew up thinking she was meant to be a stay-at-home…

Carrie Southworth co-founded Twigtale in 2011 with her childhood friend and fellow LA parent, Nishad Chande. Their goal was to create a platform for personalized children's books to help young kids through childhood transitions. All books are scripted by child development experts, and then personalized by the customer with personal photos and text. The company has seen rapid expansion through 2013 and early 2014, now boasting over 30 titles with 10 contributing child development experts.

The daughter of a diplomat, Carrie spent a large portion of her childhood in Tanzania, before returning to the US for high school and college. She received her BA in Economics from the University of Virginia, worked on the bond trading floor at Chase Manhattan Bank, all before leaving sanity behind to travel the world as a model for Elite Model Management. Her 10 year career had her moving between New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Milan. Half way through, Carrie started appearing in TV and film, ultimately landing leading roles in both mediums. While pregnant with her first child, Nishad pitched the idea of Twigtale, and the rest is history.

Carrie is a devoted wife and mom living in Los Angeles with her husband and two young daughters. In addition to the many hours she dedicates to Twigtale, she serves on the Los Angeles board of LIFT, a non-profit that focuses on helping community members out of poverty for good.
