Endlessly Fun Gender Reveal Party Games

Gender reveal party games aren’t a requirement if you’re throwing a bash to announce whether you’re having a boy or a girl. However, they are a great way to get your family and friends in on the action and be part of the big reveal.

Your guests can join in on the games together as a group while learning about your baby’s gender. Talk about a great way to pull off one of life’s biggest surprises! So, if you are thinking about hosting your own party, consider making your big reveal through one of these fun gender reveal party games.

1. Silly string battle game

Ask your guests to grab unlabeled cans of silly string and spray away. The color of the string symbolizes the sex of your baby. This is a simple yet fun gender reveal party game for your guests.

2. Baby name game

Tell your guests to choose a pink or blue baby name card, depending on whether they think you are expecting a boy or a girl. Then, time them to see who can come up with the most names in two minutes. Reveal the gender at the end of the game. Of course, the winner has to be the one who picked the correct sex and has the most names on their card.

You can even shortlist some of the baby names from the list and save it for yourself (if you haven’t yet decided on it), revealing the final name from the shortlisted list once the baby is born. This will be a sweet surprise for everyone!

3. Pin the sperm on the egg game

Depending on whether they think it will be a boy or a girl, have each guest choose felt or paper sperms with bows and mustaches to pin on the pink or blue egg. You decide how (or when) to tell them whether they’re right! Your guests will love playing this hilarious gender reveal party game.

4. Find the correct name game

If you know the gender of your baby, then you must have thought of a few names for them. So, write those names along with some opposite-gender names (to throw the guests off the track) on a chalkboard and let them guess the baby’s gender and your number one pick amongst all the names.

5. Old wives tale gender reveal game

Use a chalkboard to display some old wives’ tales about predicting the baby’s gender. Circle the symptoms you have experienced throughout your pregnancy, and let guests guess the baby’s gender. It’s up to you when to make the big announcement!

6. Gender reveal ballot and lottery game

Guests can cast their ballot and put a dollar or two in a jar before guessing the baby’s sex. After you reveal whether a boy or a girl is on the way, pull out the name of one of your guests from the coordinating bucket and hand them over the big pot of cash.

7. Bean bag toss game

Let your guests go crazy at the gender reveal party. Ask them to try their luck at tossing a bean bag into the pink or blue corn hole to predict the baby’s sex. After you reveal the gender, give a sweet memento to all the guests who made the correct prediction.

8. Baby belly dart game

Fill one black balloon with pink or blue paint, then blow up similar black balloons to make the gender reveal party game more exciting. Attach them to a dart board, and let guests take turns trying to find the gender-revealing balloon.

9. Onesie gender reveal piñata

Make a papier-mâché onesie filled with pink or blue confetti and ask your guests to swing at it to find out the big news!

10. DIY confetti egg game

Use hollow eggs (made by making a small hole with a sewing pin) to crack the big surprise on your guests. Have a friend fill each shell with color-coordinated confetti or glitter (with the help of a funnel or paper cone), then have fun throwing the eggs at each other to reveal the colorful surprise inside.
