Easy DIY LEGO Clock for Kids

Does your little one love LEGO? Then, this DIY LEGO wall clock will be perfect to teach them about time. You can also use it to decorate their room. It’s easy to make and only needs the unused LEGO pieces lying around your house, under the couch, behind the table, etc.

Gather the pieces you plan to use for this DIY project and give those unwanted LEGO pieces a new lease of life with this DIY LEGO wall clock for kids. Moreover, you can make one for yourself if you are a fan of LEGO (because who doesn’t love a good LEGO set?).

Materials

  • Clock kit
  • LEGO base plate
  • LEGO pieces (take your pick from the pieces available)
  • Spray paint
  • Drill (or safety knife)

Procedure

  1. First, drill (or cut) a hole in the middle of the LEGO base plate to make the DIY LEGO wall clock.
  2. Use the bolt in the clock kit for the size you’ll need for the hole.
  3. Leave the base plate as it is, or spray paint with your kid’s favorite color. Let it dry completely.
  4. Depending on the color you paint the face of the clock, paint the hands a contrasting shade. You can opt for black or any contrasting color so your kids can easily see the hands.
  5. Put the clock kit together using the instructions that came with it.
  6. Add whatever LEGO pieces you want to the clock (minifigures, random LEGO blocks, LEGO Roman numerals, etc.).
  7. Set the time, and you are done!

Your DIY clock for kids is ready to be hung on the wall. The best part about this clock is that children can change the LEGO blocks to suit their mood or room decor. For instance, every month can have a different theme, like Star Wars for January, Simpsons for February, LOTR for March, etc. Little ones can even leave the clock face plain if they like it that way.

And why stop at the wall clock? With LEGO, you can create several other DIYs, such as photo frames, mirror frames, coasters, etc. Just use your imagination, and you can use LEGO in multiple ways around the house. Search every nook and cranny of your home for forgotten LEGO pieces, reuse them in the DIY clock project, and surprise your kids with the creation.
