These spooky Halloween mason jars are perfect for a Halloween party or just a festive way to decorate your home and light up your mantle during this coming month of October. Keep reading to learn how to this Halloween craft.
Supplies:
- mason jars (any size)
- like-color crayons in Halloween-y colors
- knife
- cutting board
- tin soda can
- wax paper ( not pictured)
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 100F.
Step 2: Peel the paper off your crayons; the easiest way to do this is to “score: the outside of the crayons with a pretty deep cut down the length of the paper and crayon. The paper should peel easily off after that.
Step 3: Chop the like- color crayons.
Step 4: Cut off the bottom of the soda can.
Step 5: Place the like-color crayons together into the can. Place in a warm oven and wait for them to melt.
Step 6: Place your mason jars face down onto a layer of wax paper.
Step 7: Pour the melted crayon wax over the top of the jars. Direct it so it drips down a couple sides. If desired, repeat with another blend of like-colors for a nice layered look.
Step 8: Place a battery operated light in the middle and decorate for Halloween!
