Materials:
- glitter cardstock
- scissors
- hole punch
- thread or string
- shaped hole punch (choose whatever shape you prefer)
- pen
Instructions:
Step 1: Use the shaped hole punch to punch shapes into the glitter cardstock. I used a flag-shaped hole punch to hang little flags on my garland. Pplan the numbe rof shapes you want to make depending on how long you want you garland to be.
Step 2: Punch two holes as evenly as possible at the top of each shape. Here I punched two holes at the top of each flag.
Step 3: Write your advent activities on the back of your shapes! These can be acts of service, letters to Santa, or the name of a hiding place where a small gift is hidden.
Step 4: Thread your string through each flag, through one hole and out the other. Make sure you space out your shapes to your liking. Knot the string a few times at the ends to make sure the shapes stay in place.
Step 5: Hang up your garland! Now you have a childproof and pretty advent calendar!
