That’s where this DIY Wire Basket Table comes into the equation. It is simple and inexpensive to make. No tools, no stress. Since my decor tastes change (along with home trends) pretty regularly, I can switch up the look of my table by lifting off the tabletop and replacing it with a new one (how easy is that?!). This time I used glass, but I think a wooden top would also add a nice warm touch to the room.
Ready to make your own DIY Wire Basket Table? Here’s how.
Supplies:
- wire basket
- spray paint (optional)
- wooden or glass round
- small rubber protectors
- super glue
Instructions:
Step 1: If you want to change the color of your wire basket, spray paint it with 2 to 3 light coats of your preferred color. Allow to fully dry before moving on to the next step.
Step 2: Apply a small drop of super glue to the outer perimeter of the bottom of the wire basket. (See the following two images for proper positioning.) Repeat at each spoke on the outer rim of the basket. These cushions will keep the round tabletop from sliding or being scratched by the wire basket. Allow glue to dry.
Step 3: Lay the round glass or wooden piece on top of the basket, and lift it slightly to center it until you are happy with its position.
That’s it, really. Enjoy your new table!
