You probably already know that squats can help tone and tighten your tush, but did you know that this exercise can also help you with labor and delivery? Squatting while you’re pregnant helps to open your pelvis, urging your baby to fall into the right position. It also stretches out your pelvic floor and perineum to help reduce your chances of tearing (or needing an episiotomy) during delivery. Here’s a fun routine (under five minutes!) using squats:
