A is for Advice

Are you near a woman who has had a child within the last six months or 60 years? She likely has some advice for you. If she speaks for over five minutes, you will likely disagree with some aspect of it. When she was pregnant, she likely disagreed with some aspect of what the maternal forces told her. Abbey Cleland writes fiction, TV, film, and essays. Her work’s appeared on Lifetime, Hallmark Movie Channel, and PixL networks, while she continues to write, develop, and consult for other production companies and studios. One of her romantic comedies is currently in pre-production, with plans for a theatrical release. In 2014, she completed an MFA in Fiction. Her master’s thesis, an upmarket women’s comedic novel, is being considered for publication.
Abbey’s a big believer in the power of purposeful words, as well as brunch, Belvedere Vodka, and espresso. When she isn’t writing, reading, watching baseball, or contemplating if she can muster the energy for Pilates, Abbey’s soaking up time with her much-adored husband, Anthony, or feline office mate, Louisa May Al-Cat.
